How to stay anonymous on Blogger (and a little rant about ignorant people)
If, like me, you are a little OCD about people finding out you have OCD (I know I just generalised and simplified OCD there - don't you hate when people do that?) I found a way to hide your name from your blog and posts.
- First of all, go to Blogger and select your blog
- Now click on Template from sidebar and then Click on Edit HTML.
- After that, press Ctrl+F and search for <data:post.author/>
- Once you found it, then simply remove it.
- You will have this code more than one time in your blogger template so simply remove it from everywhere.
- Save your blogger template and now you will never see any author name in your Blogger posts.

So back to my statement in the first paragraph. How much do you relate to this picture?
Don't you just hate statements and images like that? People who claim to have OCD because they like things in straight lines or they like their kitchens clean.
Uhm, it's called being a perfectionist if you prefer things a certain way. And it's called not being a slob when your kitchen is always clean. Or if you don't like taking a shower in a dirty bathroom.
And these little tests on social media to see how OCD you are? They test your ATD: Attention to Detail.
People have preferences. And standards. That doesn't mean you have OCD.
OCD is about so much more than straight lines and clean houses. It's exactly as the name states: an obsession that compels you to perform a certain task to such a degree that it may be labeled a disorder. (Got that from House M.D.)
I'm not here to explain what OCD is about - just a rant about ignorant people who don't understand the condition so they have to simplify it, thus making people with "real" OCD feel like they're being silly about a mental disorder that can be so debilitating at times that you cannot focus on anything other than your obsession.
I'm not crazy. I'm not a neat freak. Anybody who walked into my house would NEVER guess that I have OCD. I have a mental disorder that is mostly under control but on some days affects me to the point where I want to lock myself in a room, crawl under a blanket and cry until I can't cry anymore, or worse.
So if you're as tired as I am of people making light of your condition or making you feel like you're over-reacting, here's one more for you.
Stay sane!
